Before January's Saints-49ers playoff game, New Orleans defensive coordinator Gregg Williams urged his players to injure their opponents in a profanity-laced speech.
Williams was suspended indefinitely as a result of the bounty program he helped run.
The audio was captured by documentary filmmaker Sean Pamphilon, who put part of the speech on YouTube and let Yahoo! writer Mike Silver listen to the entire thing.
The damning quotes:
- In reference to 49ers running back Frank Gore: "We want him running sideways. We want his head sideways."
- "Every single one of you, before you get off the pile, affect the head. Early, affect the head. Continue to touch and hit the head."
- In reference to 49ers receiver Kyle Williams: "We need to find out in the first two series of the game, the little wide receiver, number 10, about his concussion. We need to f---in put a lick on him right now. He needs to decide. He needs to f---in decide."
