The Miami Heat's 98-93 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday left us wanting more.
Miami was able to avenge its embarrassing 103-87 loss in Oklahoma City from two weeks ago.
The whole game was played at a break neck pace with LeBron James and Kevin Durant dueling back and forth. All the steals, fast break points, and hard fouls made it seem like an NBA Finals game. NOT a regular season game on April 4.
LeBron got the best of Durant with a near triple double (34 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 steals), but KD still threw in 30 points of his own.
After hitting a buzzer beater to give the Heat a 50-49 halftime lead, LeBron told Lisa Salters of ESPN that it was just "playoff basketball."
The Thunder led by as much as 11 points at one point, but had to storm back from a nine-point deficit in the second half. OKC got the game within three at 96-93 with 19 seconds left, but Durant's 3-point attempt fell short.
Here's what Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said after the game:
"This was a competitive warrior game where our guys can go in the locker room and look each other in the eyes."
