Yesterday, the University of Oregon unveiled their football uniforms for the Rose Bowl and once again proved that no team pushes the uniform boundaries like the Ducks and their partner-in-crime, Nike.
Of course, none of this should be a surprise. Oregon has taken the "uniform" out of uniforms. This season alone, the Ducks have worn 12 different uniform combinations in 12 games, including six (!) different helmets (the Rose Bowl will be the seventh).
But it wasn't always this way. Before Phil Knight and Nike got their webbed feet on the Ducks, Oregon wore a traditional football uniform.
On the next few pages, we will take a look at the history of Oregon's uniforms in bowl games.
1917 Rose Bowl: Oregon 14, Penn 0
1958 Rose Bowl: Ohio State 10, Oregon 7
1989 Independence Bowl: Oregon 27, Tulsa 24
