It was billed as the 2011 Alamo Bowl. But it looked more like an NBA All-Star game. Baylor and Washington combined for 123 points, which is the most ever scored in a bowl game that did not go in to overtime. In 2001, Marshall and East Carolina combined for 125 points in a game that went double-overtime.
Baylor and Washington also set a bowl record with 1,397 yards of total offense. For comparison, it would take the Green Bay Packers, the NFL's best offense, nearly four games to gain that many yards.
