The New York Rangers took a 2-1 series lead over the Washington Capitals with a marathon triple-overtime win in D.C. last night.
It was the type of game everyone thought we'd see when this series began — with lots of defense and top-class goaltending. The Rangers finally broke the 1-1 tie with a Marion Gaborik goal five minutes into the third OT.
