Prince Fielder hit the longest home run in baseball last season (486 feet). We are only one month into the 2012 season, and already we have had one moon shot come close to that mark.
On April 15, Travis Hafner of the Cleveland Indians took this offering from Luis Mendoza of the Kansas City Royals, and sent it 481 feet into the afternoon air. In all, there have already been four home runs to travel at least 460 feet (data via ESPN.com).
