Earlier this week, Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick for Barcelona giving him 68 goals this season (in all competitions), breaking the European club record set by Gerd Mueller of Bayern Munich in 1972-73.
Messi's 46 goals in 36 league matches is also a record. In addition, he has added 22 goals in 11 games played in various Cup tournaments.
