When a network crew has to broadcast more than 150 games in a baseball season, sometimes they have to get creative to fill three hours.
Such was the case last night in Arizona.
In the 8th inning, the Diamondbacks were losing 6-0 to the St. Louis Cardinals. Things weren't going well for the home team, and it was late. The perfect combination for a broadcast to take a left turn.
That's when the TV crew spotted a couple holding a sign indicating that it was their first date.
That's when things got awkward.
The cute, young couple was just minding their business. Wait. Is that a heart on the sign he made?And wait. He made a sign?
Uh oh. Text messages start rolling in. Umm guys, you're on TV
Eek. She doesn't seem too thrilled.
