The trial of Penn State's former defensive coordinator on charges that he sexually abused 10 boys  will head to court this week in a case that hinges on victim testimony, the AP reported.

Jerry Sandusky's trial is set to kick off Tuesday with jury selection.

While the full AP story is definitely worth a read, the case essentially boils down to whether jurors will believe the young men claiming abuse.

"In any case I've tried like this, the people who are the accusers have to come across exceedingly well," Harrisburg defense attorney Matt Gover told the AP. "And the defense has to demonstrate a theory to the jury that there's motive for them to lie or fabricate."

Investigators have identified eight of the 10 reported victims allegedly abused over 15 years.

But the defense has claimed that some of the victims had motives to lie about the allegations, the AP reported. Sandusky's lawyers will try to show the accusers collaborated on launching the allegations, with the hope of making money in a civil suit, the AP said.
