Sneaker Politics — a retail sneaker company with three stores in Louisiana — is jumping through hoops to make sure things don't turn violent when they start selling Nike's much-anticipated Air Yeezy II on Saturday.

In a blog post titled, "This is the only thing we could come up with so no one dies...," the company announced that it will hold a raffle to decide who gets to purchase a pair rather than make it "first come, first serve."

The release of the Air Jordan 11 Concord in December led to widespread violence as customers stormed stores on release day.

To prevent another incident, Sneaker Politics is letting customers enter raffle tickets by coming into the store and buying something sometime between now and Friday.

You can get multiple raffle tickets by buying multiple items, but you can only win one pair of Yeezy II's.

The raffle will go down Saturday morning.

Yes, it's a tricky way for the shop to make some extra money off the uber-hyped sneaker. But it's also a smart move that should go a long way in making sure no violence breaks out.
