Germany needed a spectacular header by Mario Gomez on a deflected cross in the 72nd minute to pick up a win in their first match of Euro 2012. The win over Portugal gives Germany a huge leg up in the "Group of Death," that also includes the Netherlands and Denmark.
Group B in Euro 2012 has been dubbed by many as the "Group of Death" as all four teams are ranked in the top ten of FIFA's worldwide rankings.
