Prior to the season ESPN announced that they were going to fix the archaic Quarterback Rating with their own metric, "Total Quarterback Rating" (QBR).
While it may indeed be better than QB Rating (anything would be) Total QBR still has problems. For example, in one week, Tim Tebow completed four passes and had a higher Total QBR than Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, both of whom threw for 300 yards.
So, how did QBR do in it's debut season? Let's take a look at the top ten games by quarterbacks this season according to Total QBR. You will be surprised who makes the list, and you may be left wondering if the new stat is even worth using.
