Missy Franklin and the US women's swimming team took home another gold medal today in the 4x200m free relay.
The race was long and boring because the Americans were so overwhelming. The only thing intriguing about it was seeing just how wide the gap between them and the rest of the field would grow.
Here was the margin in the final turn. You can see the US and Australia out in front, but no one else even in the screen:
By the final 30 meters, the US has opened up a body and a half-length lead on the Aussies, and a massive lead on everyone else.
When they touched, only Australia in lane 4 was within 15 meters:
