Outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is at it again.
When asked to evaluate the current state of the Lakers, who picked up a lot of talent this summer, Cuban responded (via ESPN):
“I don’t know, I don’t care, I just hope they suck.”
Honesty at its best.
Cuban thinks in order for the Lakers to do well this year, all the stars have to come together and be on the same page. But he still hopes that won't work:
“Obviously Nash is great. He’s phenomenal, Dwight’s phenomenal, Kobe ... but it takes a team. They’ve got to come together and play as a team. Hopefully, they won’t figure it out tonight.”
Well, they didn't, and the Mavs beat Nash, Howard, Kobe & Co., 99-91.
