The Atlanta Falcons picked up a 23-13 signature win over the New Orleans Saints Thursday night to move to 11-1 and all but end the Saints' chances at the playoffs.

The result wasn't a surprise, but Drew Brees' uncharacteristically bad performance was. Brees, who's known for his clutch performance in big games, turned in a downright ugly performance last night.

Brees' final stat line was 28-of-50 for 341 yards, no touchdowns and five interceptions.

Here's what sticks out from the Saints and Brees' performance last night:

• His streak of 54 consecutive games with a touchdown came to an end.

• It was the first five-interception game of his career. He's only tossed four interceptions twice in his 12-year career.

• The fewest points the Saints have scored since the 2010 regular-season finale against Tampa Bay when they lost 23-13. The last time they scored less was against the Panthers in 2008 when they fell 30-7 on the road.

• His 37.8 quarterback rating was the lowest since he played for the Chargers in 2005.

• It was the Saints' first loss to the Falcons since 2010. Brees had won 11 of the last 13 games against Atlanta.

The stats may be ugly, but the pitfalls from last night's game prove just how consistent Brees has been over the length of his career. He's often the lone bright spot in games for the Saints, who rely on him to bail out the defense countless times each year.

Unfortunately, one of his worst games of his career came in the Saints' most meaningful game this season.
