Today, Army and Navy will meet on the football field for the 112th time in a series that began in 1890. Navy leads the all-time series 55-49-7 and have won the last nine games in a row.
The teams may no longer be contending for national championships, but the games are as important as ever.

In 1890, Army and Navy met for the first time on the football field (Navy 24, Army 0)
In 1925, the mascots met on the field before the game (Army won 10-3)
In 1944, Army won the last match-up during World War II, and went on to win the National Championship (Army 23- Navy 7)
