After a strong run at the Daytona 500, Danica Patrick's encore came up a little short as she wrecked on the 185th lap of the Subway Fresh Fit 500. She was on the lead lap but was in 26th place when her tire blew heading into turn four.
Patrick's eighth place finish at Daytona caught the attention of the casual sports fan. But those close to NASCAR were more interested in how she would do in her follow-up in Phoenix. And while the jury is still out on how she will do in her first full season on the Sprint Cup circuit, this result is probably going to be more common than her success at Daytona.
