Louisville player Kevin Ware suffered a gruesome leg injury that delayed the Duke-Louisville game for nine minutes Sunday.

Ware, a sophomore role player averaging 4.6 points per game, broke his leg after he jumped to block a shot in the first half.

When he came down, the lower part of his leg got caught under his body, his leg broke in two places and the bone popped out of his skin.

It was horrific, and CBS only showed the replay once.

Several Louisville players and coach Rick Pitino were crying. Some players appeared to vomit on the Louisville bench where the injury happened, according to New York Times reporter Zach Schonbrun.

Ware was taken to an Indianapolis hospital, and he will have surgery tonight, Yahoo's Pat Forde reports.

Ware, amazingly, told his teammates (per CBS's Tracy Wolfson), "Don't worry about me. I'll be okay. Go win this thing."

Louisville went on to win and advance to the Final Four 85-63.
