The sports world will screech to a halt on Sunday at 4:15 p.m. when the Denver Tebows play the New England Golden Boys.
Other games have bigger playoff implications.
But none have the story lines that we have in Broncos-Pats.
The game's juiciest matchup is between Tim Tebow and Tom Brady — two QBs who always win, but take very different paths to victory.
So here it is, a category-by-category breakdown of how the two superstars stack up.
Who can actually throw a spiral?
Just kidding.
But we put this in here for a reason: it's really unfair to compare Brady and Tebow. They both technically play quarterback, but they're very different players.
Brady is the prototype, Tebow is the guy sent from heaven (!) to destroy the prototype.
By all traditional metrics, Brady is better. So we'll be using both traditional metrics (arm strength, etc.), and also non-traditional metrics that make Tebow so effective.
Get it? Cool.
Who's got the stronger arm?
Brady.
The Golden Boy has a rifle, and Tebow can barely throw an out, so this is no contest.
Who's more accurate?
Brady.
Again, no contest. Brady has completed 66% of his passes. Tebow has completed less than 50% of his passes while making almost 300 less attempts.
Also, Tebow has a habit of throwing the ball directly into the feet of receivers on a fairly regular basis.
