Major League Baseball's 30 teams combined to spend $1.62 billion on free agents this winter.
Thanks to the $240 million contract given to Albert Pujols, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim near Disneyland led the way with $327.3 million in guaranteed contracts. At the other end of the spectrum, the Atlanta Braves spent just $1.0 million in free agency, giving Jack Wilson a 1-year, $1 million deal.
