According to Lewis Kay, the publicist for ESPN's Bill Simmons, President Barack Obama has recorded an episode of Simmons' popular podcast, "The B.S. Report" (via Twitter)
Very cool that Bill Simmons landed Barack Obama for a podcast. Will be up tomorrow AM. Safe to say podcasts have now gone mainstream.
And what will Simmons and President Obama discuss? It is no secret that President Obama is a sports fan. And in particular he is a basketball fan. And Simmons, AKA The Sports Guy, is one of the biggest voices in the world of the NBA.
Still, it is interesting that President Obama would pick Simmons. While Simmons does have a large audience, reaching millions of listeners each month, it does occasionally touch on what the show calls "mature subjects."
As to the exact content of the podcast, we will have to wait and find out along with the millions of other people for what will certainly be the most downloaded podcast in the history of these interwebs.
