Amazingly, Joe Maddon, who is about to start his seventh season with the Rays, is baseball's fourth longest-tenured manager behind only Charlie Manuel of the Phillies (8 seasons), Ron Gardenhire of the Twins (11), and the Angels' Mike Scioscia (13). And after signing an extension recently, he will likely be with the Rays for at least the next four years.
So how did Maddon celebrate his newfound riches? Like many people, he bought himself a car. But not just any car. He picked up this '56 Chevy BelAir and then brought it to work.
