Details regarding the bounty program the New Orleans Saints defense ran between 2009 and 2011 continue to come in.
But one nugget unearthed in the NFL's statement involves Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who just this past season accused the Saints defense of playing dirty.
“I came into the game kind of expecting that coming back from a high ankle sprain,” Peterson, who had 10 carries in the Vikings’ 42-20 loss, said. “Guys are going to try to take their shots when we're on the pile and try to twist it up and things like that.
“I felt like it kind of got overboard. I got up and kind of got in his face. Thank God I was able to keep my composure.”
