Wilt Chamblerain scores 100

If Dwight Howard scored 100 points in a game today, the feat would almost certainly generate front page mentions, endless stories on the interwebs, and 24-hour coverage on ESPN. But back in 1962, things were a little different when Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points.

Part of the problem was that very few people actually witnessed the event. The game was not televised. There was almost no media coverage with the game being played in Hershey, Pennsylvania. And less than 5,000 people attended the game.

As a result, mentions of the historic event was often limited to a few paragraphs and often wasn't even on the front page of the sports section.
