Sources close to the Indianapolis Colts have told Chris Mortensen of ESPN that the team will release Peyton Manning on Wednesday and the two sides will go their separate ways.
According to the report, the Colts will hold a press conference on Wednesday that will be attended by both owner Jim Irsay and Manning.
By releasing Manning, the Colts will avoid paying him a $28 million roster bonus that would have been due on Thursday. The move also comes just days after a video was leaked that showed Manning working out and throwing without any obvious issues associated with his recent next surgeries.
