Jose Canseco was in uniform yesterday (right) for the Quintana Roo Tigers of the Mexican League. But as quickly as his baseball comeback started, it's coming to an end.
Of course, it's for allegedly using a performance enhancing drug.
According to the Mexican Baseball League, Canseco admitted that he was taking a banned substance without a prescription (via ESPN.com)...
Mexican Baseball League officials say Jose Canseco has acknowledged that he took a banned substance (testosterone) for which he has no prescription and will now not play in the league...A source told ESPN Deportes that Canseco refused to take a doping test.
Canseco denied the allegations and claims he does have a prescription for testosterone. He also says "nothing will stop [him] from playing baseball again."
