In the first half of today's Big Ten Conference tournament game against Penn State, Indiana's Verdell Jones III suffered what appeared to be a knee injury. The Hoosiers didn't need Jones as they went on to an easy 75-58 victory.
But when head coach Tom Crean was being interviewed following the game, he started to tear up when he spoke about his senior guard. Crean and Jones both started at Indiana in the same season (2008-09).
While there is no official report, it doesn't sound good. And making it worse is knowing that this will be Indiana's first trip to the NCAA tournament during Jones' career, and now it looks like he won't be able to play.
