In a hilarious turn of events, Kyle Orton has a chance to drive a stake through the heart of Tebowmania on Sunday.
If the Chiefs beat Denver and Oakland beats hapless San Diego, the Broncos miss the playoffs, the Tebow experiment fails, and Orton gets revenge on the team that cut him a month ago.
Orton has had a strange NFL career.
Time and time again, he's been discarded in favor of QBs with more impressive resumes.
But on Sunday he has a chance to prove that you shouldn't mistake his mediocrity for ineptitude.
Kyle was a three-year starter at Purdue. Here's how a 2004 Sports Illustrated feature described him, "He is Drew Brees, only taller and with a better arm."
