The Wisconsin Badgers aren’t flashy.
They are not the wacky brainchild of Phil Knight.
They are not a constant experiment in cutting-edge design.
But they are a tremendous football team. And headed to the Rose Bowl for a second consecutive year.
So Adidas, the University of Wisconsin's official team outfitter, produced their own Nike-esque design to match the Star Wars fatigues jerseys of their Jan. 2 opponent, the Oregon Ducks.
No, the helmets don’t look like “liquid metal.” No, the numbers won’t change colors.
But the subtle design is just perfect for the unassuming Big 10 team.
And who says a 6-foot-8, 345 lbs. offensive lineman can't look good covered in roses?
Their uniform design remains largely unchanged, except for one noticeable difference...
