Rutgers has unveiled their new football uniforms for the 2012 season.
When talking about the uniforms, athletic director Tim Pernetti said that the school wanted to honor their mascot saying that "Scarlett Knights" is "not just a mascot," and that the school, in conjunction with Nike, wanted to "tell a story" with the uniforms.
Well, we don't know if they succeeded or not, but the helmets sure are shiny.

There are three uniforms including home (red), road (white), and a black version that will be worn during their "black-out" game
