Chicago White Sox broadcaster Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, the guy at right wearing sunglasses inside a dome, went on a now-famous rant yesterday after a pitcher was ejected for intentionally throwing at a batter. The homerness of the rant was even more homery than usual for the broadcaster that has a reputation for being baseball's biggest homer.
Well, it turns out that the listeners weren't the only victims of Hawk's bleepin' screaming. Even Hawk got a headache that required the administration of at least 16 Advil in less than 24 hours.
Hawk went on a local radio show to discuss the game. Most of the interview, which has been transcribed at SportsRadioInterviews.com, is just Hawk still complaining about the umpire. But there is also this nugget...
“First of all I still have a headache because I got so upset yesterday. I took four Advil after that inning was over and then I had to take four more on the plane and then when I got home last night I had to take four more. Also when I got up this morning I had to take four more...”
Poor Hawk.
