The heavily favored U.S. women's gymnastics team just won gold in the team competition.
They edged out Russia, who collapsed in the final rotation.
The U.S. team started off brilliantly on vault, but was just so-so on bars to let the Russians pull within 0.4 points halfway through the competition.
After a nice recovering on the balance beam, the U.S. went into the floor exercise with a 1.299 lead on Russia.
The Russians needed a brilliant performance on floor to steal gold. But one of their gymnast's fell and hurt herself, and another one totally screwed up. So the U.S. cruised to gold.
It all came down to the floor exercise, where American Gabby Douglas dominated:
