The matchups for this year's college football bowl games have been announced, and it is littered with mediocre teams. Of the 70 teams playing in bowl games, 13 (18.6%) do not have a winning record, including Georgia Tech, who will play in the Sun Bowl with a 6-7 record.
Of the other 34 bowl games, seven will feature two teams that have combined for 13 wins or fewer, including the Armed Forces Bowl with Rice (6-6) and Army (6-6) and the BBVA Compass Bowl with Pittsburgh (6-6) and Mississippi (6-6).
