Details of the NFL's investigation into the New Orleans Saints bounty program continue to come out.
CBS Sports NFL columnist Mike Freeman obtained information from an internal league memo stating that funds for the bounty program were also provided by Reggie Bush's former agent (via Deadspin).
It implicates Bush's former marketing agent, Michael Ornstein, who gained an in with the Saints organization while Bush was still with the team.
Ornstein put up $10,000 toward the quarterback bounty in 2009 and 2011, according to the memo.
Information regarding these proposed transactions between Ornstein and Saints players were found in an email he sent to head coach Sean Payton.
As Deadspin's trip down memory lane informs us, Ornstein is a convicted to felon who once tried to defraud the NFL of $350,000 while he was the league's marketing executive.
Ornstein is also the same guy who provided Reggie Bush with illegal benefits while he was at USC that included luxury hotel stays and airfare for his family, and thousands of dollars in weekly allowances for Bush.
The biggest worry for the Saints, though, is the fact that the league found a paper trail. The email between Ornstein and Payton means there's no chance the Saints head coach can feign ignorance and wiggle himself out of this.
